Album's title track is about choosing the life you want.

by Krista Desens

Dido
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Jun.16.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- On a past KCRW radio program (air date September 30, 2003), Dido talked about the title song from her album "Life for Rent." Dido told interviewer Nic Harcourt on the "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show, "That song means quite a lot to me. It's sort of this constant reminder to me to sort of keeping living the way I chose to live."

Dido said, "When I wrote that song I was trying to work out...quite simply just what made me happy. And I worked out that it was just really engaging in life and really focusing on what was around me and just feeling alive. And sort of rising to challenges and doing stuff that terrified me but actually really enjoying it." She concluded, "It's really just a simple song about that. It's just about choosing the life you want."
