LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Jun.15.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Taking its message of youth voter registration to dozens of the most hotly contested markets this election year -- via musical concerts, college campuses and major political conventions -- Rock the Vote kicks off a five-month, 50-city bus tour this Wednesday, June 16 in Los Angeles. The Rock the Vote bus tour culminates on Election Day, November 2. The bus tour is sponsored by Sunkist, Cingular Wireless, Motorola and Ben & Jerry's.

MTV joins Rock the Vote as a partner on the bus tour. Rock the Vote is MTV's primary online voter registration partner for its "Choose or Lose: 20 Million Loud" initiative.

Artists already committed to participating in the Rock the Vote national bus tour, through performances and diverse on-the-ground outreach, include Antigone Rising, Autopilot Off, Michelle Branch, The Dixie Chicks, The Donnas, Dan Dyer, Future Leaders of the World, Tyler Hilton, Hoobastank, Sarah Hudson, Ben Jelen, Kinky, Maroon 5, Alanis Morissette, Jason Mraz, Q-Tip, Rooney, Joss Stone and Paul van Dyk. The bus tour will be supported by Rock the Vote volunteer street teams in each market.

BI Worldwide is producing the presence marketing campaign on behalf of Rock the Vote, including overall creative design, on-site production and venue logistics for the tour.

For the first half of the tour, the Rock the Vote bus will travel to concerts and conventions before visiting college campuses at the start of the school year.
