Evanescence's Next Album In the Works
Amy Lee is writing songs for the second album.

by Krista Desens

Evanescence
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Jun.15.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Amy Lee has started writing the next Evanescence album, and she says it's going well. Lee tells Billboard, "I've had the chance to really write [this year]." She explains that having her own place helps. Says Lee, "I bought a house; I'd been homeless forever. I've been playing my piano in the middle of the night, whenever, lighting candles and writing. It's so gratifying. I just feel complete again."

Lee isn't ready to perform any of the new material yet. She's still working on the songs. "They're all little skeletons of songs and structures. I don't want to blow the secret before they've had time to grow," says Lee.

No release date has been set for the follow-up to "Fallen" (and Evanescence's second album). The band's North American tour starts July 7 in Vancouver, British Columbia and winds up in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 15.
