SPRINGFIELD, MO  [Wednesday Apr.21.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Sheryl Crow will play to a captive audience on May 4, 2004. Taking in-flight entertainment to new heights (about 35,000 feet), Crow will perform a 40-minute acoustic set onboard a United Airlines jet en route from Chicago to Los Angeles. A select group of fans and guests will enjoy the ride. Crow's special appearance is provided courtesy of Sony and United, who have teamed up to promote Sony's new Connect Online Music Service. United will offer its frequent flier customers a "Music for Miles" program, where they can earn miles by purchasing downloads from Sony Connect Online. Frequent fliers can also redeem earned miles for music. Both sites are set to launch later this spring.

Upon landing in Los Angeles, songbird Crow will perform at a party celebrating the release of a new digital Sony Walkman.
