DETROIT, MI  [Monday Apr.12.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Hoobastank continues to climb toward the top of the alternative charts, with their hit single "The Reason" making its way to number three this week, up from the number six spot.

The band, whichs hails from a suburb of Los Angeles and formed when its members were still in High School, suffered a setback last summer when guitarist Doug Estrin was involved in a motorbike accident and fractured his skull, but they've managed to bounce back quite nicely since then.
