Act among many at fund-raiser.
DETROIT, MI [Monday Mar.29.2004] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Outkast performed at a Democratic fund-raising event last week in DC, along with Ginuwine, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and Q-Tip. The event, modestly priced for such affairs at $50 per person, was held at a DC nightclub and was one of two fund-raisers that evening for the doves. The first was a thousand-dollar-a-plate all-you-can-eat (which is A LOT for a thousand bucks!) barbecue geared at the upper tier of Democratic social strata, and was attended by liberal legends Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and this year's presidential candidate, John Kerry. The events were expected to bring in an estimated $11 million, making one of the largest Democratic fund-raisers of all time.
