DETROIT, MI  [Thursday Mar.25.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Gwen Stefani is one of a handful of glamorous celebrities who've been allowed to shake their tail feathers for the Pussycat Dolls. The Dolls are a latter-day burlesque troupe led by Carmen Electra, who hand-picks the babes for each performance. She says they don't actually strip or show the audience any of their secondary sexual characteristics; it's all about teasing.

"We take off corsets and gloves. It has a striptease element but we don't really take our costumes off," Carmen explains.

Gals who've already done the show, which performs around L.A. hotspots, include Charlize Theron, Christina Aguilera, Black Eyed Peas's Fergie, Brittany Murphy, Scarlett Johansson, Pamela Anderson, Christina Applegate, and Paris Hilton. Reportedly, Madonna and Britney Spears have also been tripping over themselves to be allowed to perform with Carmen's gang.

Celebrity audience members include fans Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Gene Simmons, Marilyn Manson, Hugh Hefner, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Demi Moore, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Kelly Osbourne.
