Sarah's Not Into Missile Defense
Tells Canada's PM to say No to US.

by Ellen Sawyer

Sarah McLachlan
DETROIT, MI  [Tuesday Mar.23.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Sarah McLachlan and 100 other prominent Canadians (including Bryan Adams, of course) recently sent a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin asking him to pull out of talks with the United States regarding participation in a space-based anti-missile shield. Part of the letter implores the PM to drop the idea, saying that Canadian participation would signify "acquiescence and willingness to become an active participant in a permanent nuclear future," and "would directly collide with the wishes of the Canadian people who have expressed overwhelming support for nuclear disarmament."
