DETROIT, MI  [Tuesday Mar.23.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Santa Monica, California clothing company Trunk Ltd has found its niche in the rock-star wardrobe market. The company, which launched last December, specializes in the reissue of vintage rock t-shirts from the '60, '70s, and '80s. Celebrities love the shirts, and it's making Trunk Ltd a lot of money. Projected sales for this year are in the $5 million range, which is not surprising considering the shirts go for $75 to $300 apiece. Dido's shelled out a few pounds for Trunk's shirts, as have other celebrities, such as Kid Rock, Britney Spears, Mya, Nas, Jewel, members of Coldplay, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Liz Phair, Enrique Iglesias, Meg Ryan, Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi, and Jason Mraz.

Trunk is launching a children's brand for the preteen hipster set called mini-Trunk later this year.
