DETROIT, MI  [Thursday Mar.18.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Dido has signed on to perform at this summer's V Festival, a UK concert event featuring an all-star lineup.

"I seem to have done festivals everywhere else and managed not to be in England during the summer," Dido commented. "V was the natural choice for me. It just always seems to have such a nice vibe and everyone comes away from it happy."

Other artists in the fest include Muse, Primal Scream, The Pixies, The Strokes, Pink, and Kings of Leon. The event takes place over two days and is held in Chelmsford and Staffordshire in August.

Dido told British fans to expect a great live show: "My live set has always been a bit different to the album. We mix it up quite a lot and it will be heavier than the album. There is a lot of rock in it. And I have started playing guitar, which is also interesting. I always played, but badly, because I have never devoted time to playing properly. It's a bit of a new challenge."
