Film screens at 2004 Cannes festival.
DETROIT, MI [Friday Mar.12.2004] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Sheryl Crow is one of many artists to star in a musical drama about legendary American composer Cole Porter, which will screen at the Cannes Film Festival Saturday, May 22nd. The film was directed by producer Irwin Winkler and tells the story of Cole Porter, one of America's greatest songwriters and the man who gave the musical validity as an art form. Some of Porter's most well-know songs include "Begin the Beguine," "Anything Goes," "Love for Sale," and of course, "It's de-lovely." Kevin Kline stars as Porter in the film, and in addition to Sheryl Crow, other musicians making appearances include Alanis Morissette, Robbie Williams, Lara Fabian, Natalie Cole, Elvis Costello, and Diana Krall.
"De-lovely" will be released in select theaters on June 25th.
