BURBANK, CA  [Tuesday Jan.20.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Taking her cue from the Jimmy Eat World hit, Beyonce Knowles told the editors of Essence magazine that she would only appear in a photo shoot with Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige if she could stand in the middle.

Sadly for her, however, that spot had already been promised to industry veteran Janet Jackson (Miss Jackson, if you're nasty!)

Jackson and Knowles are both scheduled to perform at the Superbowl next month; Beyonce singing the National Anthem and Janet headlining the half-time show.

A source on the inside said, "Beyonce may have got her way in Destiny's Child but this is different. It's going to be hard to keep everyone and their entourages happy. Beyonce is the hottest thing in music right now -- she has four Grammy nominations, number ones all over the globe and wants to take center stage. But as far as Janet is concerned, it's a case of 'been there, done that'."
