BURBANK, CA  [Tuesday Jan.13.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- After selling a pantsfull of records, American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken is finally getting played on radio.

Though he's had huge sales since grabbing the second place spot on the wildly successful pop television program, American Idol, the all important radio play has been elusive.

Fortunately for Aiken, he's bucking a trend; usually sales follow radio play so he will, most likely, reach a whole new audience and sell even more records now that he's becoming as popular on the radio band as he is on the television band.

"This Is The Night" has been gaining power on the Adult Contemporary chart and Aiken and his legion of rabid, e-mail flooding, fans are hopeful that he climbs to the top of the Pop charts as well.
