by Dean Cameron

John Mayer
BURBANK, CA  [Wednesday Jan.7.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, welcomed John Mayer to the stage during his recent keynote speech at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco (BEANTOWN, IF YOU'RE INSANE), California.

Mayer was on hand to demonstrate Apple's new product, GarageBand, which allows mere mortals to choose more than 1,000 professionally recorded royalty-free loops, played on an assortment of instruments and to create their own compositions, which can then be exported to iTunes.

Mayer recorded a live guitar with one of his compositions while it was playing in GarageBand and said that the included Amplifier Simulation patch sounded just like a real amplifier.

GarageBand will be included free with the new Apple G5 computers.
