BURBANK, CA  [Monday Dec.22.2003]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Even though the press made it out to be less than amicable, the split between Hilary Duff and Disney over the "Lizzie McGuire" series was probably not permanent.

The chart-topping teen is not opposed to reprising her "Lizzie McGuire" role for Disney. She told a reporter "It just wasn't the right timing to do it, and [Disney] wanted to do one right away and I was busy with other movies, and they kinda got mad about that, I guess."

She continued, stating that she is open to making another movie and that the character is "such a good role model for young people to look up to" and remains hopeful that Disney will come around.
