BURBANK, CA  [Friday Dec.19.2003]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken, will be delving deep into his soul and somehow pull off playing American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken.

Aiken's television acting debut will be broadcast in late January. The singer is no stranger to acting, however, having appeared in high school productions of "Oklahoma," "The Music Man" and a dinner theater stint in "The Sound of Music" with co-star Frankie Muniz who went on to "Malcom in the Middle".

In case you've been in a coma, Clay Aiken has sold a bushel full of records. His album, "Measure of a Man", has been certified double platinum and sold more copies than any other album by a debuting solo artist since 1993's "Doggystyle" by Snoop Dogg.

"Ed" is an NBC program dealing with politics, much like the much loved but much cancelled "Mr. Sterling".
