[Thursday Dec.11.2003]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Rick Rubin's pet project; an album of songs about peace will include an original song by Sheryl Crow.

Rubin, producer of acts ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Johnny Cash, has enlisted acts including Audioslave, System of a Down and Weezer to write songs for peace.

Of the project, Rubin said "I feel like it's a message that's going to be as important in five years as it is today. I want it to be a general statement of peace, not tied to an event. I want it to be a timeless statement."

No release date has been set for the project.
