[Tuesday Dec.9.2003]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Asbury Park, NJ has it's home town hero. It is Bruce Springsteen. Bruce and the E Street Band just came off a year on the road, but Bruce still found the time to raise money for the community including new band uniforms for the high school marching band. This is the third year he has thrown a holiday bash for the town that can't afford to plow its streets every time it snows.

E Street Band members Steve Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren and Max Weinberg were there. The Max Weinberg Seven, from Conan O'Brien's Late Night, were the house band. Jon Bon Jovi, nearby neighbor, came to give his friend Springsteen support. Bon Jovi is also another prominent New Jersey native and both Bon Jovi and Springsteen still live nearby.
