So Happy [Not] Together
Split in group is working out... except for ticketholders

by

Evanescence
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Nov.21.2003]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Although just a few days ago representatives for eTracks band Evanescence were downplaying the impact of guitarist Ben Moody flying back home in the midst of the group's European tour, and claiming that a soured personal relationship was not the reason for Moody's departure, it appears that the split is a permanent one.

Singer Amy Lee said Sunday that although she'd had no contact with Moody, she'd heard he was much happier, and reiterated that the rest of the band was happier as well. Describing the past as an "unhealthy situation," Lee commented that she'd been "talking to a lot of people" about future collaborations with the band.

However, some new collaborations may need to start soon, in order to get the band's current tour back on track. On Thursday, November 20, the band postponed several U.S. tour stops scheduled to start on Friday, November 21. Tickets for the postponed shows will be honored on the make-up dates, which have yet to be announced. However, at this point, three mid-December Canadian shows will take place as planned, according to a band spokesperson. In January, the band is scheduled to mount a tour of Australia and Japan.
