LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Oct.25.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- First, there was Fashion Rocks, and now there's a film and music event full of celebrities, Movies Rock. Carrie Underwood will perform the title song from The Sound of Music when the TV special is taped on Dec. 2 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. The two-hour show will air Dec. 7 on CBS. Beyoncé ("Somewhere Over the Rainbow"), Elton John (a tribute to animated films), Mary J. Blige and John Legend ("As Time Goes By"), Fergie ("Live and Let Die") and Jennifer Hudson ("Goldfinger") will also perform. John Williams will conduct an orchestral medley of his film scores. Proceeds from the event will go to the Entertainment Industry Foundation, funding more than 300 charitable organizations in the greater Los Angeles area.
