COLLEGE STATION, TX  [Tuesday Oct.16.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Tim McGraw took time off taking time off to headline the Big State Festival on Sunday night. The two-day event began Saturday at the Texas World Speedway near College Station, Texas. McGraw announced to the crowd that he's taking a few months off to take his girls to and from school, watch football and eat ice cream.

The stage at the first annual Big State Festival wasn't equipped for the equipment featured on McGraw and Faith Hill's Soul2Soul 2007 tour, so the fans just got McGraw, his Dancehall Doctors band and an hour-plus worth of hits. No flashing lights and special effects, just music. And that was fine by them.
