CMA Helps Keep the Music

by Victoria Smart

Rascal Flatts
NASHVILLE, TN  [Friday Oct.5.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean were on hand when the Country Music Association donated $655,624 to Nashville public schools on October 4th. As part of the CMA's Keep the Music Playing program, the funds will help build music labs and purchase instruments and supplies. Because artists are not paid for their appearances at the annual CMA Music Festival, the CMA donates half of the festival's net proceeds to charity on behalf of the performers.
