Starbucks Gives Away Millions Of Free Tracks
Event welcomes the launch of new wireless music service

LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Sep.26.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Starbucks and Apple will be giving away 50 million free tracks to usher in the launch of their new joint wireless music service, reports Rollingstone.com

Starting October 2nd, the coffee retailer will give away millions of "song of the day" cards, redeemable at the iTunes online music store.

The first freebie is Bob Dylan's "Joker Man," followed by tracks from Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Joss Stone, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Annie Lennox, Band of Horses and more.
The giveaway runs through October 7th.

The service will launch in New York and Seattle next month, and is expected to find a home in 25 percent of Starbucks stores by the end of 2008.
