Leann Rimes Previews "Family"
Reba, Bon Jovi, Marc Broussard on latest CD

by Neil Haislop

LeAnn Rimes
NASHVILLE, TN  [Friday Sep.7.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- LeAnn Rimes and Curb Records offered the press advanced listen to her exciting new album, Family, yesterday as she begins to promote the very personal album she says reveals more about her and where she is in life than ever before.

LeAnn was excited to talk with us about the new collection, Family, since she had a hand in writing 12 of the 14 songs. LeAnn told us she intended for fans to learn something about her and her life as it is today and how it relates to everybody.

She says, "You know a great way to get to know me is through this album, it's a very vulnerable record, it's a lot of fun..there's some great rockin' songs, and there's some very vulnerable moments. It just felt that at this point in my life I had nothing to hide and no other place that it could come from than just an incredibly honest place. So, Like I said I haven't really..I don't think I wrote this album only for me I really wrote it for everyone out there because I know I'm not the only one that's experienced these emotions. LeAnn's FAMILY includes three duets, "When You Love Someone Like That," with Reba McEntire (to appear on both of their albums and wait until you hear the magic vocal blend they have on this tune), "Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore," with Bon Jovi, and "Nothing Wrong," with Marc Broussard.

LeANN says that this new record will set the course of her music for the next several records, and to all who believe that she's always been, first and foremost, a great country artist, that's good news. This is essentially a country album that stacks up against with any current country album out by any other female country artist. It includes some rockin' material and soulful music, but this is a country record that reflects Rimes Mississippi-born country music career and the heritage that came along with it that she says she' happily embraces. FAMILY is in stores October 9th.
