FOB And Ashlee Collaboration Never happened
Wentz denies teaming up for new Victoria Asher track

by Laura Katz

Fall Out Boy
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Aug.30.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson denied rumors of a collaboration months ago, but it was reported yesterday August 29th that the rumors were in fact true.

The track in question was said to be for Cobra Starship keytar player Victoria Asher's new album, but FOB's Pete Wentz says not so much. Asher was quoted as saying, "I recorded keys, (Fall Out Boy frontman) Patrick Stump recorded the bass and drums.. and Ashlee Simpson helped me with some of the lyrics."

But the bassist tells MTV, "The story isn't true. Someone got a bit off-base in the communication. Ash didn't work on it and neither did Patrick."

"I have no idea what the deal is, but they both told me they hadn't worked on it."
