Chris Cornell Cancels Dates Over Vocal Chord Injury
Docs advise him to take time away from singing

by Laura Katz

Audioslave
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Aug.20.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Former Audioslave singer Chris Cornell had to cancel tourdates in Poland, Hungary, and Austria due to strained vocal chords.

A message on Cornell's website reads: "Upon completion of the U.S. summer tour, Chris was diagnosed with strained vocal chords and the doctor strongly advised that he take 10 days to two weeks off from singing onstage to prevent injury. Chris deeply regrets any disappointment this may cause his fans in Poland, Hungary, and Austria, and promises to come back as soon as he can."

The singer is still set to hit KROQ's Inland Invasion September 15th at The Home Depot Center, Cal State Dominguez Hills. He will be joined by acts including the Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Paramore, Velvet Revolver, and others you don't want to miss.
