Stefani's Solo Career Puts No Doubt In Jeopardy
Singer never expected it to last this long

by Laura Katz

Gwen Stefani
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Aug.9.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Gwen Stefani says her successful solo career has caused a rift between the pop star and her No Doubt bandmates.

The group recently announced the release of a new No Doubt studio album, but according to "The Sweet Escape" singer, the reunion has been tense, mainly because what started out as a sprint became more of a marathon.

She says, "It would be ridiculous to say there was no tension. Because my solo career has been going on and on. It was never supposed to be this long."
