Taylor Swift In Hunt For Four CMA Nominations
Label hoping "Tim McGraw" will be tapped for all

by Neil Haislop

Taylor Swift
NASHVILLE, TN  [Friday Jul.13.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Taylor Swift's record company is hoping CMA voters will look seriously at nominating Swift for four key awards, Horizon, Album, Single ("Tim McGraw,) and Video (Tim McGraw).

Normally for an artist that young in their debut year, that would sound like mere wishful thinking. But, then again, the singer that started at 16 and turned 17 this year, has racked up amazing sales (Platinum certification with nearly a million scans to actually sell platinum), she's had a true single and video debut hit ( Her debut single "Tim McGraw" was embraced by audiences of all ages, becoming a TOP 5 radio hit, ultimately making her one of only 11 country artists to ever earn certification as a DIGITAL GOLD SINGLE for sales of over 500,000 units.

Plus, she has taken her live show to more than ONE MILLION fans in the past year thanks to opening tour slots for Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Brad Paisley, and now Tim McGraw & Faith Hill) and made some history becoming the first female artist ever to have a hand in writing everything on a platinum debut album. It will be interesting to watch the day the CMA nominees are announced.
