NASHVILLE, TN  [Tuesday Jun.12.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Last night Taylor Swift told the media at the Stadium show that her show-stopping decent from the stage of the ACM Awards when she introduced herself to Tim McGraw...that it was indeed the first time they'd met and the first meeting was a complete surprise to Tim.

"A lot of people wanted to know if that was the first time that we'd met or if he knew about it or was in on it...he had NO clue. It was a big secret. I didn't know that we were rehearsing it, but he had no clue it was happening and I had never met him face-to-face and it actually happened."

Taylor added that she wasn't nervous about meeting Tim but she was worried about climbing down all those steps from the stage to get to him. "I practiced coming down the steps 3 times with my eyes closed," she said.

SPEAKING OF TAYLOR...SHE'S NOW A PLATINUM ACT

Taylor Swift was surprised by a Platinum plaque from the RIAA during her autograph signing session today, Sunday June 10th, at the Big Machine Records booth during CMA Music Fest.

Taylor joins a select group of female artists, including Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson and Carrie Underwood, who have seen their debut albums reach this milestone in the past few years.
