LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday May.31.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- SOHH.com reports that Mariah Carey will be playing herself in a short directed by Spike Lee.

The 15 minute, $5 million mini-movie, called "Lovers & Haters," is a spoof of Carey's life, with the Lovers and Haters that she encounters along the way, and how she overcomes those haters and obstacles to still be one of the most talented and loved musical sensations in history.

"Lovers & Haters" is expected to be released September 16th.
