Underwood Not Trying To Beat Her First Album
Carrie talks about her 2nd album
by Neil Haislop

NASHVILLE, TN [Thursday May.24.2007] /Mix103FM.com/ -- When asked recently about her goals for the sophomore album she's working on now, Carrie Underwood says she's not really thinking about "beating" her now 6 times platinum-certified debut album Some Hearts.
"You kind of do one of two things," she says. "I can think, 'okay you gotta beat the first one' which is probably pretty impossible. Or, I can do what I'm trying to do which is just make music that I'm really proud of making. And I've had a lot more time on the second album and have been a lot more involved in the creative process and I'm actually going to have some songs that I co-wrote on the album...which I totally told everybody 'if the songs are bad, tell me and they so won't go on the album.' But I think some of them might actually end up being singles," Carrie says.
