The Killers Stop Show Due To Illness
Flowers suffers strained vocal chord

by Laura Katz

The Killers
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday May.22.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Killers were forced to stop their May 17th Denver appearance mid-show after frontman Brandon Flowers suffered a throat injury.

According to NME.com, Flowers sang two songs and walked offstage. He was then was examined by a doctor.

The diagnosis? The site says it was all due to "an aggravated vocal chord" (Other sources say that a bout of bronchitis was to blame). The doc also said that if he kept singing, it "could be detrimental to his musical career."

Another show was cancelled at Seattle's WaMu Theatre, and the band also had to bow out of an appearance at KROQ's Weenie Roast. The Denver show has been rescheduled for September 4, 2007 and the Seattle show has been rescheduled for May 27, 2007.

The band's website says that fans should hang onto their tickets and bring them to the rescheduled performances.
