LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday May.14.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Fergie is helping the environment in her own way- the "Glamorous" star is issuing 'phone tickets' for her upcoming tour.

The project is part of a new Verizon Wireless campaign, says Teenmusic.com. All you have to do is download the ticket to your mobile phone and show the screen as you enter the venue.

Verizon recently nixed an ad campaign starring Akon after he was video-taped dancing lewdly with a teenage girl at a concert in Trinidad. They also pulled sponsorship of Gwen Stefani's tour, which featured the Senegalese R&B artist.
