The White Stripes Stick Around...Really
Jack slams rumors of a split

by Laura Katz

The White Stripes
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday May.10.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Jack White wants to assure fans that The White Stripes are still intact, dismissing rumors that "Icky Thump" will be their last album.

White said, "We get asked all the time, 'How long do you think it's gonna last?' I'd venture to say that in 90 per cent of interviews, someone has asked us, 'Is this the last record?' It's almost as if people want us to stop!"

"Then The Raconteurs came along and people thought, obviously, we're done. But then with this new album people are saying The Raconteurs are done. That was a side project!"

The White Stripes will be touring in Europe until mid-June, heading to Manchester Tennessee on the 17th for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
