LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday May.10.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- R&B star Amerie has teamed up with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to record a duet.

According to Teenmusic.com, the pair discussed a possible collaboration after meeting in Germany.

Amerie said, "I've always been a fan of Coldplay and Chris and I planned to write together. I love his voice and the band's melodies."

"We had a chat last year and ended up swapping numbers with a view to getting into the studio."
