PORTLAND, ME  [Wednesday May.9.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- My Chemical Romance and Muse have been forced to cancel an upcoming gig in Portland, Maine after continued suffering from a bad case of food poisoning.

Reprise Records issue the following press release on May 6th:

"My Chemical Romance and support act Muse deeply regret they must cancel Sunday night's show at the Columbia, CO Civic Center in Portland, ME, due to members of My Chemical Romance and its crew, and members of Muse's crew, still not fully recovered from a serious bout of food poisoning that occurred after a show at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA, last Sunday. The show yesterday at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ put the ill members of My Chemical Romance in a further weakened state, and they have been put on a two-day bed rest. Details for Tuesday's scheduled show are pending. As of now, the show is still happening in Worcester, MA. Tickets for tonight's show in Portland, ME will be refunded at point of purchase.

The second leg of the nationwide tour supporting My Chemical Romance's platinum album "The Black Parade" and Muse's album "Black Holes and Revelations" began in April and is scheduled to continue through May 22nd."
