Christian Group Wants 50 To Take Off The Cross
The Resistance labels rapper as a "Satanist"

by Laura Katz

50 Cent
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday May.3.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- A religious group called The Resistance is up in arms over 50 Cent's choice of accessories.

According to NME.com, the Christian organization wants the rapper to stop wearing crosses. Founder Mark Dice said: "50 Cent is not Christian and if you listen to his lyrics it becomes clear that he is more of a Satanist than anything.

"He is defaming the cross and committing blasphemy by wearing it while he raps about killing people for no reason...I think a large diamond studded platinum satanic pentagram would be a little more fitting."

50 Cent's manager Chris Lighty said, "We aren't aware of this absurd request. They should look up our charitable deeds before casting a stone."

50 hasn't been the only musician targetted by The Resistance - the group has previously slammed pop-star Jessica Simpson.
