Australian Government Cancels Snoop's Visa
Rapper fails to pass character test

by Laura Katz

Snoop Dogg
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA  [Monday Apr.30.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Australian government has went ahead and cancelled Snoop Dogg's visa after the rapper failed to pass a character test.

Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said, "The reality is in relation to this man, that he was given a warning the last time, he has a whole string of convictions...He doesn't seem the sort of bloke we want in this country.

"This man has been a member of a Los Angeles gang - and is still associated with it apparently - that's been involved in murder, robberies and drug dealings in the LA area."

MTV execs are worried that the cancellation may threaten to keep the rapper away from the MTV Australian Video Music Awards on April 29th, which also features appearances by 30 Seconds To Mars, Pink, Good Charlotte, and Fergie, who will host the event.
