LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Apr.26.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Yahoo News reports that Yahoo Inc will soon be offering the largest legally licensed database of lyrics on the internet, all for free.

The company will be putting up the lyrics to 400,000 songs from 9,000 artists including, The Beatles, Radiohead, Beyonce and Bob Dylan.

Yahoo music's General manager Ian Rogers said of the plan,
It fills a huge, gaping hole out there."

Almost 100 music publishers are contributing lyrics to the site, including BMG Music Publishing, EMI Music Publishing, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group and Warner/Chappell Music.
