LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Apr.9.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero is quitting the band's current European tour due to an undisclosed illness.

Gerard Way made the announcement that Iero was leaving during a show at Wembley Arena in London. Guitar technician Matt Cortes will be replacing Iero for the rest of the group's European tour, which ends in Denmark next week.

My Chemical Romance will be on the upcoming Bamboozle Compilation, a collection of live songs from select bands who have performed at Bamboozle, coming on April 24th on Riot Squad Records. Other bands include Thursday, Drive By, Meg & Dia and Taking Back Sunday. Check out myspace.com/bamboozlecomp for more details.
