McGraw Song Hitting Home With Working People
New track strikes a chord

by Neil Haislop

Tim McGraw
NASHVILLE, TN  [Tuesday Apr.3.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- A song on Tim's new LET IT GO CD, "I'm Working," is touching people.

It's written by Lori McKenna who co-wrote (with Darrel Scott) a truly unique look at the worry, sacrifice and loneliness of people that work for a living, while trying to hold onto love in the process.

When WMZQ played the cut recently, they got a call form an ex-policeman named Keith, who was so emotional he could hardly speak, saying, "That song hit hard. I'm a former police officer. That song kind of reminded me why I got out of law enforcement. Going to work every day not knowing who was going to die or whose life was going to change, and not seeing your family. I don't think people realize what people that work in Law Enforcement have to do everyday, and then they have to go home, and that song is awesome."
