LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Mar.22.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Former Audioslave/Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell is being honored by MusiCares at an upcoming benefit concert May 11th in Los Angeles.

Cornell will be presented with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his work with the charity, which provides members of the music community with access to addiction recovery programs and other services in times of great need.

Cornell will perform at the event along with Depeche Mode's David Gahan and Dean and Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots. The concert will take place at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood.
