PASADENA, CA [Wednesday Mar.14.2007] /Mix103FM.com/ -- The stars were supposed to be shining over the weekend at the 2007 Soul Train Awards in Pasadena, California, but 8 of the 10 winners in the competitive categories didn't bother to show up.
Those on the no-show list included Gnarls Barkley, who won best R&B single (group, band, duo) for their hit "Crazy," and Beyonce Knowles, who went in with three nods, but came away with one win for best R&B/soul single, female for "Irreplaceable." Soul queen Mary J. Blige was also M.I.A. She won best R&B/soul album, female for "The Breakthrough."
Jennifer Husdon made it to the ceremony. The star was honored with the 2007 Sammy Davis Jr. Award for entertainer of the year.
