Brandon Flowers Offended By Green Day DVD
Singer slams band for performing political track in the UK

by Laura Katz

The Killers
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Mar.5.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has slammed Green Day for performing the song "Bullet In A Bible" in the UK instead of the US and putting it all on DVD.

The singer felt that Milton Keynes, England was an inapproraite place to 'stick it' to the Bush administration, and that the song would have been better suited to Washington D.C.

Flowers said, "I was personally offended by the Green Day DVD, why record it in England? Why not in Washington D.C.?"

"I'm not trying to pick a bone with anybody, but I was offended by seeing a bunch of English kids screaming, I DON'T WANNA BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT."

He continued, saying "I don't really wanna get involved in politics; it's not really my place. I feel like I don't know enough about what's going on, I don't think a lot of people know enough. It's our human right to be upset with war - nobody wants war but there is a lot of the other side that we don't really know."
