LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Feb.28.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Saliva frontman Josey Scott and American Idol alum Chris Daughtry will be teaming up to write a song for an upcoming soundtrack.

Scott told MTV, "We're really good friends and we thought it would be fun to do. Ever since he became famous, we've been talking on the phone. We're both Southern boys and he worked with my producer, Bob Marlette, on his new record. Bob gave him my number one day, and he called me out of the blue and we totally hit it off."

The rockers have scheduled time this April to co-create the song, but aren't disclosing any more details about the project.
