LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Feb.19.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Al Gore, Pharrell Williams and Cameron Diaz have announced Live Earth, a one-day, worldwide concert to fight climate change.

The former Vice President made the announcement at a special press conference, with the help of Diaz and Williams.

The concerts will take place on 7/07/07 all over the world, with gigs already set for cities like Shanghai, Johannesburg, London and Sydney. Locations will soon be announced for the U.S., Japan, Brazil, and even Antarctica.

So far, the global event features a killer line-up, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg, Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, Keane, and Pharrell, who's calling it "the biggest party on earth."

Al Gore said, "This is all about getting people's attention and then asking them to answer the call to save ourselves and give solutions for communities, families, and for nations."
