NASHVILLE, TN [Friday Feb.9.2007] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Keith Urban will give Great American Country viewers an exclusive one-hour concert special, Keith Urban: Inside These Walls, to premiere on GAC on Wednesday, Feb.14 at 10 p.m. ET.
"It was kind of odd doing songs that people have never heard before," said Urban. "The interesting thing was watching the people trying to sing with these songs. It was absolutely fantastic, because they had never heard them, and they're trying to sing along. I loved it!" Filmed at the historic Fox Theater in Atlanta in 2006, Keith Urban: Inside these Walls features never-before-seen concert footage of Urban's rendition of the up-tempo record breaking single "Once In A Lifetime" from his latest LP Love, Pain and the whole crazy thing.
In addition, the GAC special includes Urban's current single "Stupid Boy," from the same album as well as past #1's "Days Go By," "Better Life," "Raining On Sunday," "You'll Think Of Me" and "Somebody Like You," from previous albums Be Here and Golden Road. "The world has been abuzz about seeing Keith Urban perform in 2007," said Sarah Trahern, senior vice president of programming for GAC. "An extraordinary entertainer, Keith has millions of fans all over the world who are anxious to see and hear what's next for him. This special provides both performances and sit-down interviews with him about the new album."
Along with the concert footage, Keith Urban: Inside these Walls contains segments of Urban's first interview of 2007 with GAC cameras. Set in an intimate studio, Urban talks about "Love, Pain and the whole crazy thing" and the events, people and desires that led to the final creation of the album. Urban also addresses his upcoming world tour which begins in Phoenix, Ariz., on June 8. Keith Urban: Inside These Walls re-airs on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 2 and 6 p.m. ET, Saturday, Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. ET and Sunday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. ET. ALSO, KEITH URBAN HAS FILED SUIT AGAINST PAINTER OVER WEBSITE Reuters reports that Keith Urban has filed a lawsuit against a painter by the same name, claiming that the lesser known Keith Urban's web site infringes trademark and cyber-squatting laws.
Urban filed the suit in US District Court in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday against the New Jersey painter who uses the Web site address www.keithurban.com to advertise oil paintings for sale.
Urban's suit states that the Web site is being used "in a manner likely to deceive the public into believing that the Web site has a connection to Plaintiff that does not exist."
Indeed, if an Urban music fan stumbles onto the site, it includes links to Keith's tour schedule, to download his music and ring tones. It also refers to painting as "one of my hobbies" possibly leading fans to think this site is Keith Urban, the singer's, site. There is no disclaimer that the artist is not the well-known singer. Urban's own Web site address is www.keithurban.net.
The singer, wants the other Web site to be shut down and its domain name transferred to his ownership. He also seeks unspecified monetary damages. There has been no comment from the New Jersey painter involved.
