LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Feb.1.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Snow Patrol has decided to invite Los Angeles band Silversun Pickups on their extensive North American tour.

They'll be taking on supporting duties starting February 26th, and stay on the road with the band until April 10th.

In other Snow Patrol news, the band has decided to donate a percentage of the royalties generated by the the single "Open Your Eyes" to Save the Children's Rewrite the Future campaign, which aims to provide quality education for 8 million children in areas around the world affected by war and conflict. Polydor, Snow Patrol's label, has generously offered to match the donation.

"Open Your Eyes" will also be featured in the first episode of the new series of ER.
