NASHVILLE, TN  [Wednesday Jan.31.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Little Big Town, currently riding high on the charts with their own single and album, can also be heard on John Mellencamp's brand new release, Freedom's Road.

The Grammy nominated band lent their distinctive harmonies to eight of the CD's tracks, including Mellencamp-'s current single, "Our Country," a song Little Big Town performed with him last year at Game Two of the World Series. The song is also featured in Chevy's current national ad campaign.

Mellencamp had Little Big Town on the road as his opening act for his Spring 2006 tour, and he instantly became a fan of the band's sound. Following the tour, he invited them to work with him on his new record.

"John Mellencamp has long been an influence on us," said Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook. "To actually be in the studio with him, working on his CD was an amazing experience. We were so inspired by John's writing and the work he put into the making of this record. We are honored that he asked us to be a part of it."
