Hendrix To Advertise Energy Drink
Peppers voice their upset

by Laura Katz

Red Hot Chili Peppers
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Jan.25.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers are upset over the misuse of one of their idols in an advertising campaign.

Jimi Hendrix's image has recently been licensed for a variety of products, including Liquid Experience, a non-alcholic energy drink. Other items include baby clothing, air freshener and a lava lamp.

Flea said, "To see his image and the beautiful feelings it has created in me cheapened by advertising is very disappointing."

The drink is to be released in April by Beverage Concepts.
